Construction Project Manager

About the Role: We’re seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee the construction of a new facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This high-impact role is at the heart of our growing organization and requires a skilled partner who can manage highly complex planning and supervision of all phases of construction activities. Key Responsibilities

  1. Planning & Execution
    • Develop project plans, define tasks, allocate resources, and oversee project execution.
    • Align projects with business priorities and strategic objectives.
  2. Managing Resources
    • Work with architects, engineers, contractors, and sub-contractors to keep projects on schedule.
    • Review designs, handle documentation, and ensure compliance and regulations.
    • Overall, play a key leadership role in driving the successful completion of construction projects.
  3. Budget & Risk Management
    • Monitor and control project costs to ensure they stay within budget constraints.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could impact the project.
  4. Stakeholder Management
    • Communicate with stakeholders, manage their expectations, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  5. Team Leadership
    • Lead and monitor project teams, foster collaboration, and provide guidance.
  6. Monitoring Control & Project Closure
    • Track progress, identify deviations from the plan, and take corrective action
    • Ensure all project deliverables are completed; documentation is finalized.

Qualifications & Screen Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management, or related field
  • PMP, PMO, or PMI certification or a construction management certification highly desirable
  • Proven track record with oversight of complex construction projects to ensure on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong relationships with and knowledge working with city and state government agencies in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
  • Exceptional professionalism: comfort interfacing with city and state officials, executives, and high-level partners.
  • Project management ace: mastery of project checkpoints and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Demonstrated intelligence: quick learner, strategic thinker, and strong judgment.
  • Proactive mindset: anticipates needs, resolves conflicts before they arise, and builds relationships across teams.
