Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Specialist

Silver Hill, MD

6 Month Contract (possible Perm)

$20-24/HR

Role

The Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Specialist will effectively manage and coordinate people, activities and available resources in order to maximize the successful operation of the property. You will ensure that the operations of the property complies with the policies and procedures, Fair Housing and other applicable laws and regulations governing our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate and manage all core business processes, including leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance, adhering to city and/or affordable program requirements, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor relations, selection and recruitment, and team development.
• Accurate and on-time submission of all reports.
• Monitor, supervise and direct entire property team.
• Adhere to all federal, state and local employment law as well as company policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper records for all applicable programs to property.
• Supervisory skills sufficient to hire, lead, direct and evaluate on-site team members.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Tax Credit, Section 8 or Hud Project based properties is required
• Knowledge and 1 to 2 years of experience in property management.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude and keep a solution-based and customer-focused mindset at all times

Perks:

This is a 6 month contract position with opportunity to go full time with the organization. Once converted to a full time permanent employee, this position will be offering a comprehensive benefits package including Base Salary, medical/dental/vision, paid time off, paid holidays, 401K match, insurance, and growth potential that is unlimited. During the contract period it will be a hourly rate without benefits.
