Water & Wastewater Engineer Department Head

My client is a national Civil Engineering consulting engineering firm that is actively seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to be the Department leader!  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Department Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the NJ Water Wastewater department, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Partner and collaborate with W/WW Regional Managers in PA, MD, NC and other States where we currently conduct work.
• Project Management: Oversee all NJ Water Wastewater projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards including coordination with other NJ regional offices and disciplines. Partner with W/WW Regional Managers in PA, MD, NC and other States where we currently conduct work.
• Technical Oversight: Serve as the primary technical authority for Water Wastewater systems in NJ, offering guidance and expertise to ensure optimal design and functionality. Coordinate with other NJ Regional offices on standards, changing NJ legislation and funding that may impact NJ clients.
• Budget and Resource Allocation: Manage NJ departmental resources effectively, including staffing, budgeting, and scheduling, to meet project demands and organizational goals. Provide regular updates and reports on department NJ Water Wastewater activities, performance metrics, and project statuses. Partner and collaborate with W/WW Regional Managers in PA, MD, NC and other States where we currently conduct work.
• Quality Control: Implement and enforce stringent quality control processes to ensure all NJ Water Wastewater work meets or exceeds industry standards, RVE established standards and NJ regulatory requirements. Ensure QA/QC of delivered group product is conducted by individual or by peer review.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with NJ clients, understand their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with Water Wastewater solutions.
• Training and Development: Mentor and develop Water Wastewater team members, promoting professional growth and ensuring the team remains current with industry advancements including collaboration with W/WW Regional Managers in PA, MD, NC and other States where currently conducting work.
• Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the Water Wastewater department including partnering with W/WW Regional Managers in PA, MD, NC and other States where we currently conduct work.
