Job Description: Job Title: Test Driver - Engineering Location: North America (Travel Required) Industry: Automotive Compensation: $101,000 - $160,000 Experience Level: Mid-Senior Education Required: Bachelors Degree Relocation Assistance: Yes Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Test Driver - Engineering to manage and execute tire vehicle testing across North America for Kumho America Technical Center (KATC). This role involves coordinating all aspects of vehicle testing, from scheduling and obtaining test vehicles to data collection, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will work closely with tire engineers, test drivers, and third-party evaluators to ensure consistent, high-quality testing procedures. The position requires travel within North America to various test sites and proving grounds. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Testing Management: Oversee internal vehicle testing for ride and handling within North America. Schedule test tracks and obtain quotes from proving grounds. Logistics Coordination: Acquire and manage test vehicles and wheels (via rental, lease, or inventory). Arrange tire and wheel mounting and shipment logistics to and from proving grounds. Data Collection & Reporting: Collect test data, create comprehensive reports, and communicate results to tire engineers. Collaborate with tire engineers to enhance the data collection process. External Testing Oversight: Manage North America external testing with third-party evaluators. Coordinate and schedule snow handling and traction testing. Collaboration: Align testing procedures with other Kumho test drivers and OEM evaluators. Work with warehouse technicians to assist with tire and wheel shipping logistics. Travel: Travel to proving grounds as required by testing programs. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree in a technical field (4-year program). Minimum of 3 years of experience as a tire test driver for vehicle testing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data acquisition and analysis. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn new testing methods and technologies. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Prior experience with automotive OEM tire testing. Knowledge of tire engineering principles. Experience operating tire mounting equipment. Required Skills:
