Job Description
**County Waste-Sierra Processing (Recycling Processing Facility) is looking to add a Plant Mechanic to the Recycling team in Albany, NY.**
**Pay: $21-26/hr depending on relevant experience**
**Hours: 10:30a-8p**
**Days: Mon-Fri**
**As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:**
**Perform repairs and inspections, safety checks, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulics on plant equipment**
**Utilize computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes to identify and adjust plant machinery**
**Respond to emergency repairs**
**Reviewing and/or Completing or repairs**
**Completing required paperwork utilizing maintenance software programs.**
**Testing machine after services and repairs**
**Helping other team members with repairs as needed**
**Having professional and courteous interactions with all team members**
**Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.**
**Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.**
**What we need from you:**
**Troubleshoot and perform electrical and mechanical repairs as needed on the plant equipment**
**Ensure operation of the mechanical equipment and machinery by performing preventative maintenance**
**Perform daily inspection of all equipment to minimize unforeseen breakdowns**
**Install wear parts on conveyors, screens, optical sorters,**
**Adjusts work priorities as necessary to meet production needs.**
**Ability to multi-task and work under limited supervision**
**Ability to perform physical requirements such as bending, reaching, stretching, and lifting**
**Must be able to work in a noisy environment**
**Basic mechanic tools required**
**Must comply with plant safety practices**
