Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding a  Neurologist  to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The Hospital is part of  NYC Health + Hospitals.  South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy and accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with  SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University  and  NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

• South Brooklyn Health Neurologists can apply for Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University  and  NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine
• As a Comprehensive Stroke Center, we have thrombectomy capability and a wide range of interesting pathology.

• Provide clinical care in a primarily outpatient setting.
• Outpatient consultation in general neurology with potential for focus in applicant's subspecialty. 
• Provide supervision and teaching of internal medicine and psychiatry residents.
• Provide clinical guidance and direction to other members of the healthcare team as needed.
• Performs other administrative, professional, consultative duties as needed by the department Chairperson.
• Opportunities for administrative and clinical research.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for NY state medical license 
• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology (with ability to become board certified in 5 years) 
• Cultural sensitivity to a diverse and under-serve patient population 

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $263,000* based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is $384,820** , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
  • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
• Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
• Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
• Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
• Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
• Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position
