Cardiology Access unit is in search of a highly motivated and dedicated administrative professional to join our team as a Unit Coordinator. This individual must be able to provide Day and Night schedule, and coverage on rotating weekends and holidays.
Ellison 11 is a (36) bed Cardiology Access unit located in Boston, MA. Staff on this unit specializes in the care of patients with acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, heart failure and other vascular diagnoses.
Schedule*
- Days (7am- 3:30pm) on Monday, Thursday, and Friday
- Mandatory rotating holiday schedule

Job Summary
As a Unit Coordinator:
You will play a critical role in patient care by serving as the central source of information by communicating with patients, families and medical staff.
You will transcribe medical charts for patients to ensure that the medical treatments and procedures are carried out and order supplies for the unit.
Acts as the central contact person for the nursing unit; performs transcription, clerical and reception duties; and will become an expert user in Epic.
Work under the direction of the Nurse Manager or designee to coordinate the non-nursing/non-clinical activities essential to the effective functioning of the nursing unit.
The position will require a high degree of accuracy and strong communications skills.
Qualifications
Required: High School diploma or Graduate equivalent
Preferred: Associate degree; Epic experience.
Medical or health care experience desirable, but willing to train qualified and willing candidates.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and procedures.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients, staff and providers
Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems.
