As an Industrial Facilities Reliability Technician, you keep complex plant equipment safe, stable, and productive. Your day blends hands-on diagnostics with proactive improvement—always with an eye on uptime, safety, and cost.

What you’ll do

• Execute advanced break-fix and preventive maintenance: isolate root causes, disassemble assemblies, replace or repair components, recondition machine tools, and verify performance through electrical and mechanical testing.
• Source parts and materials; evaluate alternatives that enhance reliability and reduce cost.
• Own maintenance activities to industry standards and partner with the Planner/Scheduler to refine and optimize PM strategies.
• Operate shop equipment (lathe, drill press, grinder, other metalworking tools) to fabricate/repair parts; perform welding when needed.
• Champion 5S and strong housekeeping across the work area.
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, applying CI tools to deliver process gains and measurable savings.
• Mentor junior technicians and support project teams; share expertise through training activities.
• Diagnose complex control systems, resolving intricate hardware, software, and configuration issues.
• Apply predictive technologies to capture condition data, analyze trends, and recommend actions.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS; review history and analyze data to drive decisions.
• Advance your skills with on‑the‑job training and self-paced technical learning.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and technical instructions; practice strong situational awareness and correct unsafe conditions/behaviors.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree with a technical focus and 5+ years in a relevant industry, or 7+ years of industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with predictive technologies, precision alignment, and maintenance of process equipment.
• Solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; capable of problem analysis, solution selection, and repair execution.
• Proficiency with basic and specialized hand tools.
• Background in vibration analysis or laser interferometer use, precision alignments, and upkeep of process equipment.
• Ability to travel as required.

Physical demands and work environment

This role requires frequent standing and walking; using hands and fingers; reaching; climbing, ascending/descending or balancing at heights with ladders or lifts; and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in confined spaces. Talking and hearing are essential. Sitting occurs occasionally. You may occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Close and color vision are used regularly. You may occasionally be outdoors and exposed to electrical shock risks. Work is typically in a factory setting with very high noise levels. You may encounter hazardous materials and greasy or slippery floors.
