General Labor (General Warehouse laborer) BRT Extrusions

Overview:

BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is interviewing for general laborer - workers to join our expanding warehouse facility as we continue to grow!

These positions could be  DAY, AFTERNOONS, OR MIDNIGHTS. 

These positions could be in: Extrusions, Shipping, Thermal, Building or Equipment Maintenance.

BRT is a growing aluminum extrusions company, and as we grow, our employees will grow as well.

Essential duties of The General Utility Worker:

Must come to work as scheduled and on time – if you can commit to this, please apply!

Retrieve racks from holding area.

Push rack to workstation

Place work horses up on table

Cut wood/cardboard down as needed

Pack the metal with the appropriate material to specifications

Operate industrial vehicles and equipment.

Move product and/or materials manually as required.

Comply with Company policies including, but not limited, to all safety policies.

May be asked to work as a Utility Worker in other departments as needed. Must be flexible.

Requirements for The General Utility Worker:

Must maintain good attendance and commit to your schedule.

1 Year manufacturing experience with good attendance is a plus.

Must be 18 years of age to work in the plant.

Must be able to work varying shifts as needed.

Must have ability to read and understand basic instructions (We do offer assistance in Spanish)

Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing (We do offer assistance in Spanish)

Must be willing to move to different departments as needed.

Must be willing to work overtime as needed. 

Physical requirements:

This position requires the individual to work in a factory/manufacturing environment. The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high. An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb, and push/pull frequently. With proper safety equipment, an individual in this role may work above ground level (off the ground) occasionally. An individual in this role will need to be aware of movement and/or noises around them at all times. An individual in this role must move 50lbs frequently and up to 75lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and/or move about the factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be able to take instruction to complete the basic essential duties of the position, and this role requires individuals to read and follow written procedures. (English/Spanish instructions will be made available as needed)
