About the Role:
A leading marine electronics company in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced Marine Electronics Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience in marine electronic systems, audio/video integration, navigation, and communication technology on yachts and vessels. The technician will install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-end marine electronics while ensuring top-quality service and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot marine electronic systems, including:
Navigation systems
Communication systems (VHF, LTE/5G Internet, satellite communication)
Audio/Video systems
Network and security systems on yachts and vessels
Read and interpret AutoCAD designs and technical schematics.
Perform on-site inspections and maintenance for new builds, refits, and system upgrades.
Ensure compliance with NMEA standards and certifications during installations and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including photos and project notes.
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical solutions to clients clearly.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience with marine electronics systems, yacht networks, or marine audio/video systems.
NMEA certification preferred; strong troubleshooting skills required.
U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
Must own tools, a reliable vehicle, and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass background and drug screening.
Must reside in the Broward County, FL area.
Professional fluency in English.
Ability to work some travel assignments as required.
