: Scarborough Public Schools is seeking compassionate and dedicated Educational Technicians to join our Special Education Team.  This position involves working directly with students in both one-on-one and small group settings to provide instructional and behavorial support. Positions available at all grade levels. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist special education teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction in academic, social, and life skills as directed by the special education teacher.
• Support students in inclusive classroom settings, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and are engaged in learning.
• Assist in modifying and adapting classroom materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Implement behavioral support plans, monitor progress, and assist with positive behavior interventions.
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Collect data on student progress and provide input to the special education team.
• Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and other school staff to ensure students receive appropriate support.
• Assist students with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, or mobility, if necessary.
• Attend professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices in special education support.

Pay Range: Dependent on experience- $18.80 to $29.46

Qualifications: Must hold current Educational Technician certification and fingerprinting. School experience preferred.

Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC).
