Consulting Actuary to serve as
Sector Leader for our Multiemployer Retirement Practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned consultant who is ready to take ownership of sector strategy, client leadership, and team development within a growing and respected actuarial firm.
As Sector Leader, you will guide the direction of the multiemployer sector, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and play a key role in driving innovation, operational excellence, and business development. You will be positioned as both a strategic leader within Bolton and a respected expert in the industry.
Key Responsibilities Client Leadership and Consulting - Lead actuarial engagements and oversee complex client projects
- Build and manage long-term client relationships with plan sponsors and trustees
- Serve as the main point of contact for key multiemployer clients
- Stay informed on relevant regulations, legislation, and industry trends
Sector Strategy and Operations - Shape and implement strategic plans to drive sector growth and efficiency
- Collaborate across the firm to identify cross-selling opportunities and deliver integrated solutions
- Develop sector forecasts, identify emerging client needs, and drive innovation
- Represent Bolton at industry conferences, client events, and professional associations
Talent Development and Team Management - Mentor and develop consultants within the multiemployer practice
- Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Partner with firm leadership on staffing, training, and performance management
- Provide guidance and technical oversight to ensure high-quality deliverables
Requirements Qualifications - 15+ years of actuarial experience, including significant work with multiemployer pension plans
- 10+ years in a senior consulting or leadership capacity
- Enrolled Actuary or ASA required; FSA strongly preferred
- Strong client communication, business development, and project management skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and navigate complex client needs
- Thought leadership and visibility in the retirement industry preferred
