ABOUT THE ROLE
The Conflicts Analyst applies detailed knowledge of professional methods to produce, review and analyze conflict of interest reports and to perform government sanctions screenings. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.
Produce and review conflict reports and identify potential conflicts of interest and sanctions issues using the Firm's conflicts software.
Conduct factual research on client and parties to Firm matters using corporate structure and government sanctions lists external databases to identify corporate relationships and government sanctions status.
Conduct factual research relating to the identification of potential conflicts issues, including determining if relevant matters have been closed, ascertaining the nature of an entity's role in a particular matter, retrieving any existing waivers and identifying affiliate relationships of corporate entities using external databases.
Review new requests and return results using the Firm's in-house developed workflow system.
Independently analyze the report with limited guidance from Conflicts Coordinators.
Apply the Firm's filtering and report summary application and submit the conflicts analysis results in Word to attorneys and secretaries via the electronic workflow system.
Request the creation of ethical walls upon request as appropriate.
Research and update corporate family trees.
Retrieve and send waiver letters to attorneys upon request
Consistently promote and model the Firm's Client Service Principles in leadership.
ABOUT YOU Minimum one year of conflicts or legal assistant experience (or similar law firm experience in a decision-making capacity) required.
Intapp Conflicts experience strongly preferred.
Experience with Microsoft applications required.
Ability to respond to requests with appropriate sense of urgency based on business needs.
Knowledge of conflicts of interest issues, laws and procedures.
Ability to work overtime, as required.

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.
New York salary range: $70k to $88k Morrison and Foerster LLP
