Our Client, a Biotech company, is looking for a Computational Scientist: Human Genetics for their South San Francisco, CA/Hybrid location. Responsibilities: Collaborate with scientists in the Human Genetics department to analyze large datasets of genetic, genomic, and clinical data from internal studies, collaborations, and external sources. Develop analytical approaches to interpret these data, providing insights into disease biology to support translational research. Manage the intake and preparation of new datasets for analysis. Document processes, findings, and code thoroughly. Present findings to the department and collaborators; contribute to scientific publications. Requirements: Extensive experience in large-scale genetic/genomic data analysis, including expertise in areas such as genetic epidemiology, association analysis, molecular assay data analysis, and multimodal data integration. PhD or Master's degree with significant experience in Statistical Genetics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related fields. Proficiency in R, Python, and shell scripting; familiarity with C++ is a plus. Experience with git, high-performance computing, and scheduling tools like Slurm. Curiosity and eagerness to learn about human genetics and bioinformatics. Ability to produce high-quality analysis results independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and teamwork experience. Preferred experience with GWAS, heritability analysis, or eQTL analysis. Why Should You Apply?
