BENEFITS FINANCIAL ANALYST

 

We are currently seeking candidates for an entry level Benefits Analyst on our Human Resources team at our corporate office located in Greeley, Colorado. 

 

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for ensuring the financial accuracy of benefit plans with particular emphasis on the health plan with an annual spend of approximately $250M. The benefits analyst works with vendors and benefits consultants to generate detailed financial analysis and reporting to determine and monitor costs. In addition, the benefits analyst serves as the HR accountant responsible for the general ledger accounts and the HR budget.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a foundational knowledge and basic skills in all aspects of health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Serve as primary contact for benefits data warehouse partner and financial consultants.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of SAP as it relates to benefits.
  • Develop audit procedures to monitor benefits spend.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, graphs, charts, diagrams, and other illustrative tools for presentations and reports to senior management.
  • Prepare the corporate HR annual financial budget; monitor and analyze variances by department; balance general ledger benefit accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or Mathematics strongly preferred.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a team. Ability to foster collaboration and cultivating relationships.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal direction.
  • The proven ability to complete multiple tasks on time in a fast-paced, intense corporate environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to task.
  • Capability to plan effectively and prioritize.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Skilled in utilization of data analysis tools; data warehouse experience a plus.
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

 

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $67,000 – $82,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
