Salary: $70,000-76,000 per year

Other Forms of Compensation: Up to $2,500 annually 

Schedule:  Full time; Monday through Friday, 7am - 3:30pm. Must have flexibility based on business needs. More details are available upon interviewing.

Job Summary

The associate director of food and nutrition will assist in the successful operation of the food & nutrition services in a hospital environment. You will manage all food service-related activities; including patient care, non-patient care (retail, cafeteria, catering etc), quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all hospital-related activities. You will also be responsible for promoting the professional growth and development of the team, fostering strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the food-service department with the facility plan of operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to three years of hospital or healthcare related experience depending upon formal degree or training
• Three to five years of direct food service operations management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable
• Strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills
• Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• ServSafe® Certified
