Appraisal Consultant 
Schneider Geospatial is excited to welcomea seasoned and analytical professional to join our Professional Services team as an Appraisal Consultant. In this client-facing role, you'll serve as both a trusted consultant and subject matter expert, guiding local government clients through the implementation and successful ongoing use of Schneider’s industry leading GIS-based advanced property modeling solution that enhances the clients’ existing CAMA platforms. You’ll leverage your experience in appraisal, assessment, and data modeling to ensure the successful implementation, adoption, and optimization of our solution.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Guide clients in implementing, configuring, and adopting our advanced, geo-centric appraisal modelingsolutions that enhance their existing CAMA platforms. 
  • Create a proactive culture of engagement by regularly reaching out to assigned clients to ensure they are thrilled with our solution, and their needs are met. 
  • Perform consulting services for clients on various projects surrounding best practices such as, but not limited to, data cleansing, data analysis, identifying patterns and trends, model development and calibration, ratio analysis and post analysis.  
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops tailored to clients’ needs. 
  • Assist with writing and updating company documentation such as, but not limited to product help files, implementation documents and website content for the various solutions. 
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and support teams to deliver compelling value propositions and address client challenges. 
  • When necessary, assist in the implementation and project management of the various solutions. 
  • Attend regional and national conferences as needed, serving as a positive and professional representative of Schneider Geospatial. 
  • Provide regular update reports to management regarding ongoing projects. 
  • Serve as a thought leader and strategic partner, helping clients optimize their use of technology to improve property valuations. 
  • Anything else needed or required to drive your team and the business forward 

What We’re Looking For: 

An ideal Appraisal Consultant brings a strong foundation in property assessment and is eager to apply that expertise in a technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with clients to solve complex valuation challenges and is eager to apply statistical modeling and appraisal expertise in a geo-centric environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused setting and is excited to learn new tools, work across departments, and help local government clients make informed decisions through smarter technology. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in property appraisal, assessment, or a closely related field. 
  • Familiarity with CAMA systems (e.g., Patriot, Tyler, Harris, Vanguard, or similar). 
  • Experience conducting regression analysis, market modeling, and cost approach valuation. 
  • Strong statistical acumen or aptitude is preferred. 
  • Prior experience in a local government appraisal role (or consulting to that role) is stronglypreferred. 
  • IAAO designations or certifications (e.g., CAE, RES, AAS) are strong assets. 
  • Prior experience or understanding of GIS 
  • Exceptional communication and client service skills; comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Ability to travel to support onsite client needs as necessary.
